Heartlace

To finish today I ended up doing an all soft card using a bingo card from Magnolia down under challenge.  I just loooove magnolia images so it's so much fun to play around with them.  I left the sentiment out because I have lots of French friends and most of my sentiments are English :(
In the background I used the walkway from magnolia for the cute flowers ;)

In the magnolia down under challenge, I have the buttons, glitter/bling (it's the little bling on the top of her dress) and polka dots.  I also used a brand new technique that I had never used but definely will again PAPER piecing.  I did the dress that way and I'm really really happy with the results.

I will be entering my little card in a few challenges ;)

Vicky

Easter card

My last card of this afternoon is another little rabbit for my step-mom.  This one is a silhouette and is from Little miss muffet beautiful digi images.
I used a digi image, some bling and under the sentiment that's from digital delight I used an embossing folder organic flourish of Cuttlebug.
I'm entering in:
Cardcrafterscircle - digi, bling, embossing folder

Ok so I'm back to crafting... we'll see if I get to do another card tonight or if I will be posting tomorrow.

Vicky

Happy Birthday

Here's card number 2 for this afternoon.  Very simple but I like the way it turned out.  It could be used for anyone ;)  I love those cards it's always good to have them in stock.

The sentiment is from Craft meow.

Vicky

truly grateful

I managed to make another 3 cards this afternoon.  I wonder if I will get to make another one later tonight... we will see.  Weekends go way too fast.
The image and sentiment are from Craft meow.

That's the 1st one.  I'm really grateful that I have great friends and family that support me through all!

Egghunt

I had printed out my digi freebie image Egghunt from Nina J May last week and didn't have the chance to color it.  I'm really happy with how it turned out.
I'm entering this little card in the Theres magic in the air challenge.

I'm going back to my craft room before my visitors arrive...

Voici ma dernière création.  Je retourne à ma salle de "scrapbooking".

Attitude

All is about the attitude that you have towards life.  This little digi image from Bugaboo really touched a nerve.  I just love Ruby.
I really love how my card turned out!  It's not colors I would have played with but it was a really good mix in the end.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:
That's it for tonight.  I'm hoping I will be able to craft a bit tomorrow.  I'm expecting company... so might not end up doing much.  And I'm going away next weekend... so I have to pack all my gear!  It's a small retreat and I will be scrapbooking YAY! ;)

Vicky

Bonne fête

I was going on my Bestee's blog Cinzia-creations to check out her new cards and I noticed a challenge with a sketch that I didn't know.  It was a beautiful sketch so I just had to try it out.  Here's my take on this challenge and it was a great sketch to use with another challenge.
The beautiful sketch is this one:

I used miscellaneous paper and stamps with memento inks to make this card.

I'm entering it in the following challenges:

Going back to crafting ;))))

Last week I received a challenge from my stepmom to create a card with a rabbit.  She's a BIG rabbit fan.  She has 2 at home.  I must admit to loving them as well and I have one named Frosty.  He's silver.  I made this card with him in mind.
I used this beautiful sketch to make it:
To make this card I used:
  • a stamp from Penny Black  I just looove him
  • My copic markers, prismacolor coloring pencils and some chalk at the bottom
  • I used the paper recollection paper, Colorbok cardstock, Tea Time by Helen Jones
I'm entering the following challenges:
I'm going back to my crafting ;)  I missed it but I had a great excuse, my beautiful niece and nephew were born ;))))))  soooooo happy!!!!!!

Owl Always love you

Hello everyone.  Tonight I was desperately lacking inspiration... well I did have some inspiration but the project would have been too long for a weeknight... so I decided to tackle a challenge and try to get some inspiration from that.  I've been working with sketches for the last few days... and it was hard tonight to come up with a concept but guess what... I think I managed to do a few challenges again with one simple little card.
To make this card I used:
  • A book that I tore some pages from and used vintage photo distress ink on it
  • A Stampendous sentiment and I'm not sure where the owl came from because the sentiment usually goes with another image...
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
So that's it for tonight.  I'm pretty happy with my little creation.  I think I have just the right person for this card ;)

Best buds

Today was another gorgeous day here!  I spent it inside at a great excel class but couldn't wait to be doing something crafty.

So I made a little card tonight.  I know that this card is a boy's card... but I was thinking of my bestee when I made it.  This is why I chose this sentiment for the card.
I used the same fantastic sketch as yesterday:

image_thumb

But I turned it around and did the same thing to the sentiment ;)

To make this card I used the following:

  • Measure by measure embossing folder from Cuttlebug
  • my square cm punch
  • Some craps of papers (if you search my previous blog entries I'm sure you will find this paper elsewhere ;) )
  • And the digi stamp from Bugaboo Best buds.  It's one of the great stamps that I won for the humor challenge.  I just love it.  I didn't have a lot of images that fitted for boys.  Now I do.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
  • Catchthebugblog - my 3rd entry ;)  I love their sketch!  So yes it was the sketch
  • Audsentiments  - a song (and yes it's my 5th entry but there are so many songs lol this one is one of the ones that I really love check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sMKX22BHeE )
  • Whimsy inspires - wet or dry embossing (in my case I used dry embossing)
  • The poodles parlour - my 3rd entry to anything goes
  • Love to create challenge - anything goes
That's it tonight ;)  I'll be back tomorrow I would think.  I love this way tooo much... much better than TV

WOW

It's been a good weekend and the start of the week is pretty fantastic as well!!!  I went to check who won the Stamp and create candy and guess what it was me ;)))  After a long day of training on excel it was fun to be back in my craft-room.  I organized my new copics pens (a great crafter I know was not using them anymore and offered to sell them to me YAY!)  So happy and most of the colors she had were not the one I had... so it was a great continuation to my new collection.

Then I crafted a great little card with the great Bugaboo stamps freebie.  If you don't know this site you HAVE to check it out.  It's amazing and their freebies are as well!!!!  So here's my card:

I used the same sketch as earlier this week but it was a completely different look with this card:
image_thumb
To make my card I used:
  • prismacolor coloring pencils
  • Stickles for the icing

Hello

I just loooove how this card turned out ;)  And it's my 2nd time coloring black hair.  It turned out pretty good I think.

That's it folks.  I'm not sure that I'll be back tonight... but I will try tomorrow for sure!!!  Especially since I will have new copic markers ;)))  I'm buying a bunch from a great crafter I know who's no longer using hers.

SKZ wings

As mentionned in my previous post I won some new digi images... and I'm using another perfect little one with this card.  I just LOOOOOVE everything that has to do with vampires and other darker characters.  I have discovered through one of the blogs that I follow that there's a site that does challenges for the crafty ones and it's based on the creepy ;)))  What fun to find a way to do a card that won't be Halloween related but that uses a character usually kept for that time.
To make this card I used the following:
  • some bling and foliage from Dollar store (and it's dark bling ;) )
  • Immortal love paper and cardstock
  • a bugaboo digi image - SKZ wings
  • the sentiment is from Kimmie's Wonderland Sentiment

simple card

It FRIDAY!!!! TGIF!!!  I'll be able to create this weekend ;)  been missing it and last night with the Teacher's conference I was not able to so fun time ahead.  I discovered a new technique going through some beautiful blogs during lunch time today.  So the new technique is "faux embossing".  I couldn't wait to try it out so this is what I did tonight.  And here's the result:
It's far from perfect but it's the 1st try ;)  I used a butterfly punch from Martha Stewart to make the faux embossing and used real heat embossing for the sentiment.  I also realized that I had bought this sentiment over 15years ago... that doesn't make me any younger!

I had lots of fun just realizing this simple card.  Looking forward to tomorrow!!!!

Here's the template:

Missed the blog ;)

I got used to writing here everyday last week.... and crafting everyday.  Spring break is over so back to work I went... and since last night I had my book club I was not able to craft.  I've missed it!!!  It was like withdrawal lol I was dreaming of making cards.... unfortunately when you wake up they are not there...So tonight I had fun.  I created a card 1/2... the other card will be done tomorrow.  I prepared everything but need to stamp and color.  Tonight's card took longer to make than I had expected.  I messed up my 1st attempt... oh well.  I think it turned out pretty good.  I figured that it was a different take to mother's day card since it mentions that home is where the story begins... isn't that what mom's are all about?  Creating a nice home.  Hope you like it as well.

To make this card I used the Stamp from Darcie's JCS143 (the sentiment is from the same stamp group),  I also use a Martha Steward border punch, an embossing folder and one of my CM circle shape for the 2 inside circles.  The little pearls are Robin's nest Dew Drop.

I'm entering this card in a few challenges:
Paper take weekly - one for the girls or mom
Top tip Tuesday - make a really girlie creation
Simon says stamp and show - anything goes
Paper Sundaes - Feminine Flair
Love to create - About the ladies
One stop craft challenge - mother's day with ribbon
Totallystampalicious - a bouquet of flowers
Wagsnwhiskers - Spring break
The pink elephant - TPE 139 inspiration photo of easter colors ;)

So that's it for me for today.  Looking forward to more creating tomorrow night ;)

Idcool!

My biggest kid is a teenager... and his b-day is coming up so I needed a fun card for him.   I had lots of fun doing this bright card.  Thought it was ironic to use a book in the background... since my big teenage son doesn't like to read all that much and would probably like to tear a few ;)

I used a lot of stuff to make this card:

  • Sentiment stamp is from Art Impressions - Just say it
  • Paper is from Happy Day 6x6 by Simple Stories (bought at Stamp and create), ATD card stock
  • a book bought at the dollar store so I could tear it up ;) and vintage photo distress ink
  • my CM tearing tool
  • And finally but definitively not the least my idcool digi image the freebie of this week from Bugaboostamps
I'm entering it in the challenge Catch the bug for the humor ;)  I think the saying was really fitting with a teenager.

Vicky

Theodore

As mentioned in one of my previous blogs, my brother and sister-in-law are expecting TWINS ;)  I suddenly realized that I had done the announcement cards for them (20 in all) but had not done the congratulations card for when my nephew and niece are born!  So I'm using one of today's post and challenges to help me with the inspiration for this card.  I also discovered a few weeks back Digi images ;)  OMG the possibilities that exists now with these!!!  Can't believe that I didn't know this existed before.  I took a class from Jeanette Comerford (check her blog at Happy thoughts ink spots) and she mentioned digi image... I was thinking ?!?  what are those?  Then I came across a great site Bugaboo stamps. What a wonderful site! Here's my card:

I used the following sketch to do it:

To make this card I used the following material:
  • Bazzill Basics Paper cardstock, Colorbök Pattern pack, Le P'tit bloc, ATD -cardstock
  • one of my Martha Stewart border punch
  • my CM oval shapes
  • Theodore (a freebie image from  Bugaboo stamps)

Go Braless ?!?

Well this is the last card for the day.  I used a stamped image that I had done with a friend's stamp from Dolly mamas.  I thought this was very fitting for the humor challenge that I wanted to enter.  And yes I'm at the age where the wrinkles are starting to show... lol so should I do what she says?!?  Not sure I'm ready to go that far in the battle against wrinkles lol.
It's fun using somebody else's stamp! ;)  And it's such a fun image to work with.

I'm entering it in the following challenges:

Bonne soirée à tous c'est terminé pour moi pour aujourd'hui ;)

Vicky

Rebecca Raspeberry

I'm really happy with my 2nd card of the day.  Took a long time to make but it turned out really good.  I needed to copy one of the beautiful Kraftinkimmiestamps cards this is the one I chose to copy.... it was hard to choose because they were all pretty!  So I chose Amanda's card:

Here is my take on this:
To make it I used the following:
  • My EK Daisy punch

b-day card

We always need B-Day card.  I noticed that I could enter 2 more times in the Thepoodlesparlour so that made me decide to do more cards ;)  I needed the inspiration.  So many possibilitites ;)

I used for this card the same technique that I used in one of yesterday's blog with the inking of the embossing folder.

To make this card I used:
  • Happy b-day embossing folder from cuttlebug as well as embossing letters (my 4 kids gave me those for my b-day and this is the 1st time that I used them ;) )
  • A nestabilitie die
  • The stamp is from Darcie's JCS148
I'm entering this in the following challenges:

Mother's day card

This morning I wanted to try out a new technique that I saw on this fabulous website I really {heart} this site for all the new techniques that I get to try : Split coast stampers

Once I embossed in green... I figured that hey there's a few challenges that I could enter this in.  And I used my brand new little butterflies bought at Srapenmasse on Wednesday. Here's my little creation:

So to make this I used a cuttlebug embossing folder with green distress ink and cardstock from Dollarama, and my little butterflies are made with  Doilies & Exotic Dies - Exotic butterfly small (but hard to make the holes in the wings I believe the card stock might have been too thick or using my cuttlebug was not the best tool for this).

Here are the challenges that I will enter with this card:
Flutter by wednesdays - Spring time and use of butterflies
Divas by design challenge - Use favorite things (here I used my embossing folder from Cuttlebug love those as well as the distress ink to make the green background and I used the embossing technique for the mother's day sign)
Totally stampalicious - Spring design
Paper sundaes - Green
Card crafters circle - orange & green
Simon says stamps - mother's day

Hope you like my little creation.  I will definetly be back with more today ;)  Last day of spring break here and my vacation :(  went by tooo fast but will definetly use this time to craft.

Kid b-day card

I know a little guy whose b-day is coming up. So this was perfect, there was a few challenges that I could do while doing this very fun card.  And since little guys don't really look at the coloring of the card so much I spent my time choosing bright colors for the paper instead.

To make this card I used the following products:

  • The sentiments are from My sentiments exactly  4587
  • a cm border punch (the green one behind the image)
  • Nestabilities (wonky rectangle and grommet tag)
  • The pattern paper comes from Crate paper 6x6 pad Toy box collection
I'm entering it in the following challenges:
Paper take weekly - anything goes (loooove those ;) )
Theres magic in the air - make a kid b-day card
Divas by design - use favorite things (so here is my list of favorite things used for this card, I'm in love with nestabilities, would use them all over the place if I could and would LOOOOOVE to extend my collection, so here I used 2!!!!, and of course I used heat embossing which is the way that I started making cards, way back when I used this technique for making my wedding invitations ;)  16 years ago this summer... so anytime I use this it brings back memories)

So much fun making those cards ;)  Thanks for checking out my site ;))))
