For a mother challenge

This is the other card that I mentioned in my previous blog.  I have created this one for the Paper play challenges.  It's  to be used for a woman in our family.  

For this card I used the princess Tilda stamp from Magnolia.  I just love the feminine look of this card!  I love all these card challenges, it's helping me to create the cards I need for the upcoming occasions and making it quite fun. Never knew there were soooo many out there!

4 challenges - one card!

Hello to all.  Today I have 2 cards to show.  One that will be entered in actually 4 challenges!  I think that was the biggest challenge of all... create a card that would fit with all of the 4 requirements...  It was made using this template from Sketch Saturday.  Here is the wonderful template for the card:

Then there was the requirement from CES Challenges which was to create the card using Blues and Cream.  I'm lucky I needed to create a boy baby card... therefore that was a good combination.  What I did not expect however was to have so much trouble finding papers with only blue and cream... I guess I could probably have used some paper with a bit of other color but what can I say I like a challenge ;)

The other requirements came from Simon says stamps challenge this required to use 3 different papers, that was not as hard.  And the last was from Delightful sketches and I needed to use pattern paper.  That was a bit more difficult since not all the patterns that are blue were related to baby cards!  I'm pretty happy with the result.  Here it is:

To make this card I used Jayden stamp from Whipper Snapper, the heart border punch from Creative Memories and miscellaneous papers (polka dots from cm as well).

Let me know what you think!  As mentioned earlier this week I think this is mostly a way for me to challenge myself and design cards differently.  I figure the more I practice the better I'll be, right?!?

Well I had soooo much fun yesterday that tonight I figured I would try my hands on another challenge.  This time from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.  As you can see below it's a totally different type of card.  I had to go with a  sketch, this one:

And make it with one of the beautiful stamps that I had.  I decided to use one that's close to my heart and reflects the way I feel ;) It's not as professional as the other cards I see... but I figure that if I keep at it I'll get better.  Please let me know what you think.  Comments would be wonderful.  On this note here is the card (well once I have translated....).

J'ai eu tellement de plaisir hier que j'ai décidé de récidiver aujourd'hui et de faire un autre défi.  Par contre, c'est un look totallement différent comme vous pourrez voir ici-bas.  Je devais travailler avec une étampe que j'avais de Kraftin Kimmie Stamps et j'en ai choisis une qui je crois me représente bien.  Ceux qui me connaisse me reconnaîtrons certainement.  C'est certain que mes cartes ne sont pas aussi professionel que d'autres que je vois dans les différents sites de cartes mais bon, ça prends un début non?!?  Laissez-moi des commentaires, ça me fera plaisir de les lire.  Donc sans plus tarder voici la carte:

This is my 1st blog ever!!!!  Hope this is the way it's supposed to look lol...  The only reason I'm creating this is to enter in a challenge from the site Lily Pad Cards To enter the card it needs a blog.  So here I go.  My blog will be bilingal so please don't mind the change from English to French and vice-versa.  And of course I might not translate everything.

C'est mon premier blog!!!  J'espère que je vais faire quelque chose de potable lol... La seule raison de créer ce blog est pour entrer dans un concours pour une carte que vous verrez plus bas.  Le lien pour le site est plus haut, je ne le metterai donc pas de nouveau.  Prenez note que je vais traduire des bouts mais pas tout.

I did the card using the stamp "kissing" technique.  I had never done it before and found it was quite easy to use.  I inked both stamps. The stamps used in this card are Penny Black sparkle, a criss-cross stamp (I don't remember from which cie) and the sentiment from Hero Art.  The paper are from DCWV.  And I used brads to complete it.
