Kid b-day card

I know a little guy whose b-day is coming up. So this was perfect, there was a few challenges that I could do while doing this very fun card.  And since little guys don't really look at the coloring of the card so much I spent my time choosing bright colors for the paper instead.

To make this card I used the following products:

  • The sentiments are from My sentiments exactly  4587
  • a cm border punch (the green one behind the image)
  • Nestabilities (wonky rectangle and grommet tag)
  • The pattern paper comes from Crate paper 6x6 pad Toy box collection
I'm entering it in the following challenges:
Paper take weekly - anything goes (loooove those ;) )
Theres magic in the air - make a kid b-day card
Divas by design - use favorite things (so here is my list of favorite things used for this card, I'm in love with nestabilities, would use them all over the place if I could and would LOOOOOVE to extend my collection, so here I used 2!!!!, and of course I used heat embossing which is the way that I started making cards, way back when I used this technique for making my wedding invitations ;)  16 years ago this summer... so anytime I use this it brings back memories)

So much fun making those cards ;)  Thanks for checking out my site ;))))

Voici une petite carte pour enfant.  Je n'ai pas l'occasion d'en faire bien souvent car normalement j'utilise les cartes que j'ai déjà en main.

Cool Edwin Sketch challenge

Today I'm posting a card that I made last night with the Sketch from Crafty card makers.  I thought this would be perfect for the card that I had to make for my brother's b-day coming up.  To make this card I used Cool Edwin stamp from Magnolia and the sentiment comes from Art impressions - Just say it.  I found a bunch of those sentiment yesterday while visiting a new store Scrap en masse.  I went scrap shopping with my daughter and found all kinds of goodies ;)))

Here is the sketch:

And the card:

I had fun doing it and used one of the image that I had colored while at my in-laws.

Voici une petite carte pour mon frère.

Bonne journée.  Have a great day.  Hope to be back later after some more crafting ;)

Happy b-day!

I was away at my in-laws for the beginning of the week.  It's our school break and I was on vacation with the family ( hubby and 4 kids ;) ) and yes they are all mine and my hubby.  Since I couldn't do any cards (tooo hard to bring everything) I went browsing for stuff on the net.  Challenges and ideas as well as material.  I used my time to color 4 images (the other 3 to come in the following days), shopping on greeting farm for new stamps as well as on E-bay.  I also visited some blogs.  But that can get pretty intimidating... mine being so new and others are sooo fancy.

I'm happy to be back at home now and I managed to use the image that I stamped and colored using copics as well as colored pencils with "Julie" from Kraftin kimmie stamps.  It was perfect for the b-day card that I made for my dad.  And guess what there are some challenges that required just that ;)  So killing a few birds with 1 stone.

Here are the challenges that are complete with this:
Aud sentiments  - Happy b-day card
Catch the bug - Anything goes
Stamptacular Sunday - 4 words or more text (thank god in French it takes us long to say Happy b-day ;) )

I'm really happy with the results.  Hope you all like this.  And I'm noticing that I'm putting buttons all over the place now lol I never used them before... what's going on ;)

Bonjour à tous les francophones.  Voici une petite carte de fête que j'ai fais pour mon père.  J'espère qu'il l'aimera ;)

Bonne soirée.

Spring galore!!!!

Now I really feel like spring should be here.  I just finished a whole lot of challenges with this card.  Some related to spring, one to flowers... so with this it really feels like spring should be here already instead of all that snow.  I used the template from The Sketchy Challenge

Here is the card

To make it I used Tilda rocking stamp by Magnolia, Dollar store flowers and ribbons, buttons from huge pack bought at Walmart.

Here are the challenges that I completed with this:
The sketchy challenge - for the sketch
Cute card thursday -Signs of spring
Delightful sketches - Spring colors
Basic grey  - Inspiration spring
CES challenges - Flower Frenzy
Deep ocean - Spring
Magnolia down underchallenges - Buttons and bows
Paper play challenges - Something old and something new (old ribbons, buttons, stamp, fairly new flowers;))
The poodles parlour - B-Day card
Ssds challenge - Use your stash (which I must admit is pretty big.... and still growing lol)

I'm pretty happy with my cheerful little b-day card!  I have just the right person for it!  Thanks to all the challenges for putting me out of my box and helping me create new innovative cards ;)

Voilà ma dernière création.  Elle remplie tout plein de défis différents.  J'espère que vous aimerez.

Fred Bear goes camping

This is the last one for tonight.   I saw on the web a challenge that required to use humor Creative card crew.  I then realized that I don't have a lot of stamps with funny sayings to go with them.  When looking to make my get better soon card, I saw my Fred the bear stamp that I had purchased for my camping scrapbook.  I thought this would be perfect for this challenge.
For this card I used the Pure innocence stamp Fred bear goes camping, sizzix labels, scallop circle nestabilities and the paper is from DCWV The green stack.

J'ai fait cette fois-ci une petite carte humoristique.  J'espère que vous l'aimerez.

Better get better

I needed to make a get well card for someone special.  I looked through the list of challenges that could be fulfilled with this card and decided on the one from Totally stampalicious which required to used yellow, brown and green.  Here is my little creation:

I used to make this Nestabilities Label Eleven, Sizzix oval, Pure innocence stamp (Better get better) sentiment and little girl as well as 2 little bandaids ;)

Je devais faire une carte de prompt rétablissement.  Voici donc ma création.

Thought of you

Today I went shopping.  One of my favorite stores in the West Island of Montreal is Bonnidee is moving. So they had a great sale, everything at 30% up to 75%.  I got some great Nestabilities including the circles that I used in the card below.  I ended up with 2 huge bags full of goodies lol ;)  Who can resist an amazing sale right?!?

So for this card I used the template from The pixie cottage :

It was a great start for my tiny little card and their other theme was anything goes so that's all good!  Love having the choice to do any type of cards.

The other challenge which gave me the rest of inspiration was from Cr84fn colorchallenge and the color inspiration was the following:

So this is the card that came out of both challenges:

As mentionned I used the Nestibilities circles, a sentiment stamp that I just bought on sale at Scrapbook centrale soooo many sales these days, my border heart punch from Creative memories and some buttons from Walmart (a huge mix pack).

Voici une petite card super simple mais qui combine 2 défis.

I'm going back to my crafting... see u guys later!
